Free Early Education Entitlement for three and four year olds.

The free Early education entitlement (FEEE) is a government programme. It provides all three- to four-year-olds with up to 15 hours of education per week. (This is a total of 570 hours per year over 38 weeks during term time.)

This funding starts the term following a child’s third birthday and is a universal offer for all three and four years. You will be asked to complete a parent agreement form each term, to cover the whole term; stating how many hours you would like to use. This funding can be used flexibly between providers.

Free Early Education Entitlement for two year olds.

Some eligible two-year-olds are entitled to up to 15 hours of education per week. (This is a total of 570 hours per year over 38 weeks during term time.)

This funding starts the term following the child’s second birthday. Certain criteria must be met, please see if you are eligible by applying online. (If you are successful, you will be issued with a reference number to give to us if we are your chosen provider.) This funding cannot be split across providers.

30 Hours Extended Entitlement Funding for three and four year olds.

Some three and four year old children, from eligible working families; are entitled to an extra 15 hours funded Early Years Education per week in addition to their Universal Entitlement. (This is a total of 1,140 hours over 38 weeks per year.)

Please use the link to apply and to confirm you are eligible. If you are, you will receive an 11-digit code to give to us to enter in the system.

HMRC will expect you to reconfirm your eligibility every three months in order to continue to claim this entitlement; they will contact you directly and send you two reminders.
