Staff training and Continuous Professional Development.

Regular external and in house training is undertaken, both by individual staff and via a whole team approach. We keep up to date with current legislation and Ofsted requirements as well as striving to enhance individual strengths, improving knowledge and understanding across a wide range of topics. We keep a renewable training log detailing all relevant training such as Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety and Health & Hygiene certificates.

A large amount of training is undertaken to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. (SEND) Staff have received training in Makaton signing, Elklan Speech and Language, Attention Autism, Intensive Interaction techniques, Using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication systems) and hearing impairment.

We are passionate about cascading information and techniques between the team to help improve all our skills and ensure a clear and consistent approach for the children who need enhanced support. We are a fully inclusive setting, catering for individual needs and requirements.
